Club Notes: 12th of April 2015

Donegal Footballers:

Hard luck to the Donegal Senior footballers in their defeat to Cork in Croke Park on Sunday in the Division 1 semi-final clash against Cork.

Donegal Hurlers:

Mixed emotions for the Donegal Hurlers in their draw against Tyrone on Saturday. The team has to do it all over again in a replay in order to avoid relegation. There was solid displays from Jamsie Donnelly, Del Laverty and Lee Henderson. Best of luck in the replay at the weekend.

Senior Team Football Result:

A weakened Sean Mac Cumhaill’s team travelled to St. Mary’s in Convoy to take on Termon on Saturday evening. With both clubs unbeaten in their first two outings this was sure to be a thrilling game. With 6 forced changes to the Mac Cumhaill’s team that won the first two games it was always going to be a tough charge but the narrowest of margins in the end saw the Termon side go home with the 2 points.

On Thursday they made the short trip to the crossroads to take on Red Hugh’s in the fifth round game. Mac Cumhaills ended up comfortable winners and maintain a 100% record in the league; this game was played in a sporting nature against a very young Red Hughs team. Our final game in this section will be against Robert Emmets, venue and date yet to be decided.

U-14 Hurling Result:

Our u14’s had two league games in the past week with home games against Ballyshannon and Dungloe.
