Letterkenny Gaels Club notes 25/8/14

Our Senior men’s Championship came to end on Sunday when they lost to Urris in the Junior ‘A’ Q/Final. We have 2 remaining league games which will be played in the coming weeks.

Good luck to both Donegal teams in the All Ireland Semi-Finals on Sunday especially Oisin Cannon who is part of the back room team with the Minors.

Our annual Family Fun Day takes place on Sunday 7th September at Pairc na nGael. The fun begins at 12.30pm. See Facebook for further information and details.

Well done to Cormac Cannon & Shane Graham who were part of the Donegal U-17 team that won the Jim Mc Guigan competition at the weekend.

Good luck to Aaron Bradley who will be playing in the London Senior Football Championship with Tir Chonaill Gaels against Fulham Irish in Ruislip on Sunday.

We will be holding a night at the races on 26th of September in the Arena 7. Race cards will be distributed in the coming days. See Facebook for more details.

The Og sport finals were hosted at Pairc na nGael on Saturday past. Our neighbours St. Eunans won the Final and are through to the Ulster Og Sport finals which will be held in O’Donnell Park.

The U-13 team were defeated by Malin last Wednesday evening.

Hard luck to our U-16 hurlers who were defeated by a strong MacCumhaills side in the Division 2 league final last Thursday evening in Convoy.

There will be no underage training this Sunday morning due to the Donegal game. U-8’s & U-10’s training continues on Wednesday evening from 7-8pm.

Camogie training continues every Tuesday evening at Pairc na nGael from 6-7pm for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th class. 5th, 6th class & Secondary school on Monday evening 6-7.30pm at Pairc na nGael. Contact 086 8163605 for information. New players welcome.

Hurling training for U-6, U-8, U-10 and U-12 continues at the pitch every Thursday evening from 6.30-7.30pm. Hurley’s and helmets provided for training.

U-14 & U-16 girls football training continues every Wednesday evening at the pitch. Contact Jim Farrell for more details on 086 056 6893

U-16 football training is on every Monday, Wednesday & Friday evening at 4pm.

Sympathy is extended to the McGowan family of Muff & Letterkenny on their recent bereavement.
