Kilcar GAA Club Notes 23/02/2015

Our minors started their league campaign with a 4-04 to 1-0 defeat away to a strong Ardara side last Sunday they are away to Four Masters in their next outing on Saturday morning. Our seniors begin the defense of their county Gaeltacht title away to St Michaels next Saturday at 4:30pm while our reserves are due to play Cloughanely at the weekend in the Junior Gaeltacht.

Colaiste na Carraige

Best of luck to Collaiste na Carraige in the Markey Cup semi-final this Tuesday against Brefine College and to the Under 16s in the McAuthurs Cup semi-final later in the week.

Lotto

There was no winner of the Club Lotto Jackpot so next week’s Jackpot is €2,300 this week’s numbers were 3, 10, 13 and 14 winners were: €50 Mary B O’Donnell (Bavin) €30 Meabh Nic Giollia Chearra (Coguish) and €20 Brid McDevitt (Drimnafinagle). Lotto Plus numbers 6, 12, 20 and 28 there was no winner.

Bingo

Club Bingo winners were €155 Theresa Gallagher, €150 Ann Marie Campbell, €105 Bridget O’Gara, €70 Mickey McGinley, Kathleen Keeney, Doris Conwall, Margaret Byrne and Anna Cannon. The Jackpot on Sunday is €3,950 on 45 numbers.

Hugh Kennedy RIP

It was with great shock and sadness in the area when we learned the news of the passing of Hugh Kennedy, Main Street. Hugh was on the minor panel that won the county championship in 1964 and was keeper for the senior team in the 1970’s, may he rest in peace.
