The quarterfinal places for the Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure Intermediate A and B championships will be decided today after a full schedule of Round 4 matches. The draw for the quarterfinals, alongside the Senior Championship Round 4 draw, will also take place this evening in O’Donnell Park at 5.45 pm. It will be broadcast live on RnaG and on the official Donegal Facebook page.

In the A championship the top seven teams in the league currently have all secured semi-final places, namely Dungloe, Naomh Columba, Cloughaneely, Malin, Buncrana, Naomh Muire and Naomh Brid. Fanad Gaels and St Mary’s Convoy are best placed to join them. In the relegation play-offs, 9th plays 12th and 10th plays 11th.

In the Intermediate Reserve Championship there are also seven teams already through Dungloe, Naomh Columba, Cloughaneely, Malin, Buncrana, St Mary’s and Aodh Rua. Fanad Gaels, Burt and Naomh Ultan are already out of contention and the game in Ballintra between Naomh Brid and Naomh Muire ÍnR is a straight shoot-out for the final berth.

 

 

The draw for the quarterfinals will be random with the exception that a repeat fixture is not permitted. As a result it should be mostly the case that each Group 1 team will play opposition from Group 2.
