DONEGAL U21 HURLERS ARE “All IRELAND CHAMPIONS”

Donegal u21 Hurlers lift the Andrew O Neill Cup in Celtic Park Derry where a late Donegal captured the title from Tyrone. In a game where the teams matched each other point for point for the 60 mins a late goal from a 20 yard free hit the back of the net. Donegal held off the Tyrone attack in the closing minutes of additional time. Donegal become the first county to lift the Andrew O Neill Cup, The cup is named after a young hurler from the Naomh Colm Chille club in Clonoe, Co Tyrone, who died tragically in Liverpool in 2015. Andrews family were on hand to present the trophy. Donegal now face Mayo in the u21B Quarter Final on the weekend of the 8th / 9th August.
