Donegal Senior Hurlers capture a Allianz League Title, the Senior Footballers gain promotion to Division 1 and set up a date with Monaghan in the Division 2 Allianz League Final.

The feel good factor in Donegal GAA circles was certainly in abundance yesterday in Markievicz Park after the final whistle, which seen Donegal slow to start but soon made up for lost time as they blitzed a stunned Roscommon team, after the break Roscommon put a fight back but the Donegal men held the game and in the closing minutes sealed victory to finish the game winners on a scoreline of Donegal 4-12 Roscommon 2-14

Donegal Fans then had more to celebrate in the Athletic grounds in Armagh as Donegal Senior Footballers won promotion to Division 1 and a place in the Division 2 Final, Donegal went to Armagh knowing Armagh had everything to lose if Donegal won, from the start Armagh took the game to Donegal, however Donegal held firm and refused to allow Armagh dictate to them how this game would go. Donegal had set the sights on the final and promotion long before the Armagh game and true to the promise made by players and the team management to fans, Donegal will be back in Croke Park on the 27th April in the Allianz Division 2 Final.
