Donegal Joint Policing Committee are holding a Cyber Awareness Week this week. It centres around a campaign aimed at improving internet safety awareness for all age groups. Phone scams, phishing messages, parental control and young people’s mental wellbeing are the main topics to be explored through adverts and information campaigns. As part of the week young people from Donegal Youth Council, Foroige & Donegal Youth Services devised, produced and recorded two videos, funded by Healthy Ireland, to form a Social Media Campaign.
The videos below, supported by Healthy Donegal, highlight how cyber crime, including cyber bullying, can impact on young people’s mental health, and wellbeing and were conceived, planned, scripted, directed, produced and acted in by young people from across Donegal.
