Croke Park Saturday – Be there all the Way

By Sinéad Breen Donegal PRO Thu 28th Mar

CLG Dhún na nGall are through to the Roinn 2 Allianz League final idir An Mhí next Saturday evening at 5.00 i bPáirc an Chrócaigh. The match will be preceded by the Roinn 4 final between our neighbours An Doire agus Liatroim. CLG Dhún na nGall are also promoted back to Roinn 1 for 2020 where they will be joined by Meath, Kerry, Mayo, Tyrone, Galway, Dublin and Monaghan.

Ciaran Thompson has been having a great season and was chosen by Croke Park for their graphic to promote the game in Croke Park on Saturday (see above). Unfortunately, it looks like Ciaran has lost his fitness battle for the final after turning his ankle in training at the end of last week. Michael Langan is another doubt but otherwise the rest of the squad who have done so well to get Donegal to the final are fit and rarin’ to go.

CLG Dhún na nGall are hoping for big support at the match. The more people in Croke Park the better the atmosphere and the more fitting the reward for the four teams that have worked and trained hard to get to the final. None of them will be taking the chance to add a National Trophy lightly. While advance tickets are available online and at Centra/SuperValu stores, when it comes to Croke Park there is no discount for early purchase and a €5 charge for under-16s, normally free of charge in the League. For adults the charge is €25.

For fans heading to the game Irish Rail have confirmed that Drumcondra station is closed. Supporters coming on the Sligo train or “Parking and Riding” at Maynooth to avoid traffic are best to proceed to Connolly Station.
