The all-county leagues officially commence this weekend with a full schedule of games across all Divisions, including two new Regional Leagues – a few rescheduled fixtures were played last Sunday. On Monday night in the Villa Rose hotel CLG Dhún na nGall were delighted to announce four sponsors of the leagues for 2019 and introduce them to the County Delegates.

Brian McCormick Sport will sponsor Division 1. They have had a long association with Donegal GAA, sponsoring at both county and at club level for many, many years. The PRO said “Brian McCormick has long understood the importance of working with sporting organisations, not just the GAA, and the tremenduous importance of sport in our community and the GAA in particular as a cultural organisation that transcends sport and plays a central role in communities through the county”.

The 2019 season sees the introduction of two new regional leagues which Yes Chef Catering are delighted to sponsor. The regional leagues replace Division 5 and the Reserve competitions for Division 3 and 4. Yes Chef Catering is also sponsoring Division 3 – the company are proud Donegal GAA supporters and their qualified chefs specialise in feeding the County’s senior football and hurling teams ensuing the nutrition and quality of food is of a high standard enabling them to excel as athletes on the field.

Marley Travel are sponsoring Division 2. The company has a long association with CLG Dhún na nGall, sponsoring and transporting county teams and supporters since 1980 and also sponsoring club teams, particularly CLG Gleann Fhinne and CLG Gael Leitir Ceanainn, both since their foundation.

Mc Glynn’s Restaurant and Outdoor Catering are sponsoring Division 4 of the All County League. The company have been involved with Donegal GAA for 19 years providing food for footballers and hurlers every year this century and continue to do so. This year’s sponsorship of Division 4 is the company’s tenth year sponsoring both the league and Club Donegal.

Mick McGrath, county chairperson thanked all four companies not alone for their sponsorship this year but for their historic support of the GAA in Donegal. Without the support of these companies, and others both inside and outside the county, we would have fewer celebrations like those that followed Donegal’s victory in Croke Park on Saturday evening.
