500 Spectators to be Allowed for Armagh v Donegal on Saturday

The GAA have released a statement this afternoon that 500 spectators will be allowed attend Allianz League Matches in the Six Counties. Of the 500 available for this Saturday’s encounter between Armagh and Donegal at the Athletic Grounds – 50 complimentary tickets each will be made available to the Armagh and Donegal County Boards and CLG Ard Mhacha will get a further 400 to sell locally. Match Attendance & Allianz Hurling Division 1B game between Kilkenny and Wexford

 

The GAA can confirm that from this weekend 500 spectators will be permitted to attend Allianz League games in the Six Counties.

 

With cross border travel for non-essential reasons discouraged and following discussions with Ulster GAA, the following breakdown has been agreed.

· 50 complimentary tickets to travelling county from outside the north (non-playing players and county officials, no sale for spectators.

· 50 complimentary tickets to home county (non-playing players and county officials).

· 400 tickets to each host county – to sell locally only.

Tickets will be sold via county boards locally with the following pricing:

£15 Division 1 and 2 Football & Division 1 Hurling and £10 Division 3 and 4 Football and Division 2 and 3 Hurling. There will be no concession tickets due to limited numbers.

 

These arrangements will be reviewed at the conclusion of the Allianz Leagues in line with public health advice at that time.

 

The GAA’s CCCC can also confirm that the AHL Division 1B game between Kilkenny and Wexford has been provisionally rescheduled to take place this Sunday, May 30th in UPMC Nowlan Park at 3pm, subject to the Wexford players currently isolating being deemed safe to play by the HSE later in the week (Thursday).

 

The GAA’s postponement policy on Allianz League games is as follows:

Where a County is unable to fulfil a fixture due to issues related to Covid, the game will be awarded to the opposing team (walkover), but without any further penalty being imposed. The exceptions to this are:

– Where there is a clear 13 days between the original fixture and the next scheduled round of the competition or

– Any game where relegation would be a direct consequence of the walkover.”
