CLUB NOTES: WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 1 MAY 2016

Senior Men

The Seniors and Reserves play Naomh Micheál on Saturday evening, throw in for the Reserve game is 5.30pm, and 7pm for the Seniors.

Thanks to all who helped out in any way at the Burn Road on Sunday for the game against Glenswilly, your help was much appreciated.

Bingo

Don’t forget Bingo every Friday night at An Craoibhín, doors open at 8.20, bingo at 9pm.

Ladies

The Juniors played Fanad at home on Saturday in the first game of the league. Unfortunately Fanad left as victors despite a great effort from our girls who fought hard until the final whistle.

The U14 B team met Naomh Mhuire on Saturday with our girls putting in a great performance, but unfortunately Naomh Mhuire were the winners.

Congratulations to the Donegal Ladies on their great win at the weekend against Cavan. They are now through to the All Ireland division 2 final against Westmeath. We wish the girls and management the very best of luck.

Commiserations to the U16 county championship team on their loss to Derry at the weekend.

Congratulations to the U16 development team on their win against Fermanagh.

Fundraising Draw

With the major capital expenditure involved in the training field, we have decided to hold a major fundraising draw, and you are all invited to the official launch of the draw at 10pm on Saturday night in the Lagoon. Full details of the excellent prizes on offer will be announced on the night!

Termon GAA Minor Board in association with Kelly’s CENTRA Mountain Top Letterkenny

We are delighted to announce that Kellys Centra at the Mountain Top Letterkenny will be sponsors for both our boys and girls teams representing Donegal at Féile na nÓg at the end of June. This is a very significant sponsorship on top of their sponsorship of our Minor Board and we are deeply indebted to Máirtín and Angela for their continued support.

We ask that all parents and members LIKE our “Termon GAA Minor Board Boys and Girls” facebook page. It is the best way to keep in touch with what’s happening at underage level for all age groups

All Underage coaches are reminded to contact Jimmy Mc Elwaine 086 3345878 to book The Burn Road for any coaching or matches.

Our U6s and U8s will move to the Burn Road for “FUNdamentals” and coaching from this Saturday. The time remains the same, 10.30-11.30. Please ensure children have plenty of warm clothes. U8s must have a gumshield and their own water bottle. Newcomers welcome, bring your child along to give it a go.

U10 coaching will continue this Saturday 10.30-11.45 at The Burn Road. Again warm clothes, gumshield, water and gloves are required. On Monday our U10s will take part in a much anticipated tournament in Ardara. Throw in is at 10.30 in the opening game vs Naomh Mhuire so all children must be there for 10am please. Parents are asked to text Eddie on 086 6082512 to confirm (1) if their child will be attending and (2) if they need a lift.

Well done to the U12 boys on a fine display in Naomh Mhuire on Friday evening. All 22 boys played 30 minutes and there were some very impressive performances. A HUGE thanks to all the parents who took time out of their busy Friday evenings to be there, it really is very much appreciated. This Friday the boys are guests of Four Masters. Throw in is 6.30 so we will leave from The Burn Road at 5pm. Again parents please text Eddie to confirm(1) if your son can attend and (2) if he needs a lift. Remember warm clothes, gloves, gumshield and Termon socks and shorts if possible. On Wednesday the boys begin their NRB league campaign with home games against St Michaels, best of luck to all involved.

Our U14s play their NRB League Quarter Final at The Burn Road also on Friday evening, 6.45 throw in. N Padraig Muff will provide the opposition in a game that our boys are really looking forward to. Please come along on Friday evening to support the boys.

Bhí na gasúraí f15 gnóthach in éadan Gaeil Fhánada ar an Satharn, ach, cé go raibh siad chun tosaigh cuid mhaith den am, chaill siad amach in éadan Gaoth Dobhair ar an Luan i gComórtas Pheil na Gaeltachta. Guíonn muid gach rath ar Ghaoth Dobhair sa chluiche ceannais ag deireadh na seachtaine.

Well done to Enda Mc Cormick and James Mc Sharry and all the Donegal minor team on their Ulster Minor league success last weekend. Sadly there were no celebrations for Barry Gallagher and Paul Doherty and the U17 team but it certainly has been a great few weeks for all 4 Termon lads. Its back to club duty on Wednesday night with the NRB Div 3 Semi Final at The Burn Road with LK Gaels in opposition, again a 6.45 throw in. Good luck lads.

This week is the final week for payment of membership. Please contact your child’s coach or any committee member if you have not yet registered your child for the 2016 season.
