ST Eunans GAA Club Notes 27/04/2016

The Seniors and Reserves continued their good form with wins over St. Michael’s on Sunday, the Seniors will travel to Ardara on Friday evening for another Div. 1 league clash at 7pm. It’s unlikely the Reserve game will go ahead at 5:30pm due to players work commitments.

The Junior men suffered a narrow loss last Saturday against neighbours Glenswilly and they are on their travels again this Saturday evening when they go to Glenties to play N. Conaill.

The Senior Ladies had no game over the weekend and they travel to Moville this Sunday for a league game. the Ladies board are actively seeking parents who are interested in helping out with the U8 and U10 Academy teams this season. Anyone interested should contact Alan O Connell on 086-249 8263.

The Minors boy’s footballers travel to Muff this Wednesday to take on N. Padraig in the Northern League semi-final. Throw-in at 6:30pm. Congratulations to our representatives on the County Minor panel that claimed a 3rd successive Ulster League title on Saturday and to Noel Keaveny who is part of the management team. Niall O’Donnell bagged an impressive 2-03 in the win over Tyrone. The U17’s managed by Brian McGeehin never got going in their final also against Tyrone.

The U14 Northern League q-finals are due to take place this Friday evening, see social media for details of times and venues.

The U14 hurlers travel to Burt for a league game this Thursday evening. The Minor hurlers are at home to Carndonagh. Congratulations to the Donegal minor hurlers and the six St. Eunan’s players who won the Ulster minor shield in an epic battle with Tyrone last Friday night and qualified for the A championship in Ulster.

U16 girls football training is on Tuesday’s between 5:45pm and 7pm. The U12 girls are training on Thursday’s between 6pm and 7pm. New players welcome.

Under 12 Camogie training takes place every Wednesday at 5:30pm in O’Donnell Park for Girls born in years 2006, 2005, 2004. At present the panel number is very small and we are encouraging all girls in this age bracket to come along and try it out for a few weeks. Helmets and Hurls will be provided if necessary. The girls recently played an indoor blitz and their first outdoor game. The girls were excellent in both, with many players only playing camogie for a short number of weeks. Aoibhin Randles has been selected for the Cuman na mBunscoil Camogie panel for the matches that will take place in Croke Park this summer.

The Century Cinemas Sunday Morning Football Academy is outdoors to O’Donnell Park this Sunday at 11am for all groups.

The Friday Evening Hurling & Camogie Academy continues from 6:30pm every Friday and new players are always welcome.

Our Club Bingo has launched on Sunday’s night in the Clubhouse and continues every Sunday night at 8:30pm. Be sure to spread the word to all your contacts. If you are available to help out as part of a Rota, please contact Alma on 087-695 2551 asap.
